August happenings

Coffee group birthday party at Lollipops PlayLand in Hamilton. I hardly saw Josh the whole 3 hours we were there!

Waiting for another ride... and another... and another... and another...

Scott settling in, checking everything out...

Settled in!!!! Little monkey, hardly saw him either!

Learning to drive already...

My birthday with my boys

Feeeeed me Poppa!!!!
For some reason he (Poppa) thought one mouthful of cake would satisfy the scavengers...

Our rearranged dining room, with our own table and chairs at last.

Steamed Scotty for dinner tonight! Holding one of his favourite toys - the snap snaps (like a crocodile...) They are lethal - I get "snapped" from behind nearly every day, usually while cooking dinner!

Yup, looks just like his father...

Grandstand view. Josh looooves watching the helicopter in action, but preferably from a safe distance.

Winter bordom-relieving activities

We made foam from soap flakes and hot water.

Katrina's Polar Bear

Baking banana muffins

Mashing the bananas =)

Off to see the tractor over the hill, in the rain. It was sunny when we said we'd go for a walk...

Counting...

Counting while playing hide and seek. Monkey counts too...

Oooh the Camera!!!

Nanabelle made Josh a "Very Cool helicopter"

Still my baby, when he's sleeping anyway...

Giving Monkey a ride in the warm Autumn sunshine

Rarely seen without some form of flying machine, even if it's an electric egg beater / helicopter...

Mmmm, pear and dribble!

Washing his car...

Does this remind my family of anyone?

On Thursday/Friday he mastered speed walking and turning corners, and thence the ability to steal Josh's toys more easily, always with a delightful chuckle, or excited shreek on being chased.

Walking!!

If you can zoom in on this picture, his tummy has helicopters drawn on it, diving out of the sky we're told. His ability to draw them, (including on this angle!) and to see them and planes in every object in life including his crossed feet, continues to amaze us.

I'm so cool, I can sweep!!!
He looooves the broom, mop and vacuum, and will squawk like mad if removed from them!

Caught him on the 2nd effort!

Sunday, April 27, 2008

Uncle Andrew brought around the lego helicopter they'd been making that afternoon, and it soon joined the usual pile in Josh's bed. Monkey, Black Doggy, Helicopter, Teddy Bear (obscured) Josh and Doggy.
Well, the Bible does say 2 is warmer than 1!!!

Josh serinading Taylor... No really, he wanted to sing her a song like Daddy!

SCOTT'S 1st BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

Ryan and Scott waiting for cake...

Scott using the distraction to steal Liam's chips...

Scott cutting his cake with a (plastic) sword

Scott eating his cake...

Scott full of cake...

Sleeping off the cake...

Josh's art work. He drew these all by himself.

My family

Roger and Alison Peake celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss on Saturday. Here they are (center back) with their 6 children, 18 grandchildren, (plus me) and 2 great-grandchildren.

Our slice of the family.

For me, this was a wonderful event. With the whole family there for dinner, I contemplated the odd sensation of having been adopted into this family. I love my family, but I am so blessed to have been so kindly accepted into this amazing, BIG family, providing a whole 'nother Godly dimension to our children's heritage.

I eat Everything!!!!!

Mummy sent me to wake up Josh - I even kissed his head twice but he never woke up!!!

Oooooh!!!! Walking!!!!!! I like this!! I discovered it all by myself, and I get Very Cross when the trolley gets stuck against things.

Scott and Jeremy's cousin Ryan

Doing 'exercises' with Daddy.

Hi Mum!!!!

Me and my friends

Best friends =) Josh and Taylor

Best friends too! Notice the look on Scott's face, he was squealing with delight.

This potty training thing is fun! Look how many undies I can put on by myself!!

Do I look like Daddy now??

This is what Scott looks like most of the time, smile and all.

He was lonely....

Wonder if I can squeeze out...?

Oh look! A back door on the pram!!!
